SERVICES: SOCIAL MEDIA POST & POSTER DESIGN
IMPACT: BOOSTED FAN ENGAGEMENT / STRENGTHENED PERSONAL BRAND
When I had the opportunity to work with Marina Rodriguez, a top UFC fighter, I knew it was my chance to create something special. Marina, ranked back then #6 in the UFC women’s strawweight division, was approached by me to elevate her social media presence and promote her upcoming fight. She was looking to make some noise, and I was ready to make it happen.
Marina was preparing to defend her ranking and take on rising prospect Iasmin Lucindo in a pivotal fight. With her active social media presence, Marina wanted to amplify her brand and promote the fight in a memorable way. My mission was clear: create a striking visual that would capture Marina’s fighting spirit, draw attention to the upcoming event, and help her engage with both her current and potential new fans.

Some of the photos provided by Marina, which were used in designing the poster.
The basis for Marina's interest were carefully collected sports posters as references for style and my poster sketch, with her silhouettes, which established a common understanding of the direction of the project and helped my client visualize himself in the poster. All the photos were provided to me by her, with emphasis on one thing - she was very keen to have her coach Malko Marcio on the poster, "he created me as a fighter…" - she said.

He can be seen with his hand raised in the center of the poster, together with his protégé. I was also provided with the logo of the club where my client trains on a daily basis, Thai Brasil Floripa, and asked to reflect the color palette of the club. Hence the combination of black, white and red, which also turned out to be very good for work, I like monochromatic designs with one dominant color.

The number of interactions under posts on Marina's profiles probably best reflects the success of our cooperation. The post also enjoyed an unusually large interest on my profiles. I am also pleased that other UFC fighters noticed it, which fills me with optimism about further activity in the combat sports industry.
